Andrew Garfield, 'A Complete Unknown' scene-stealer Monica Barbaro, and 'Anora' actor Yura Borisov are circling lead roles in the story of Sam Altman's firing and rehiring.

In addition to “Artificial,” Guadagnino is currently attached to direct a reimagining of “American Psycho” for Lionsgate. And while his DC Comics film “Sgt. Rock” was recently placed on hold, his next film, the campus thriller “After the Hunt,” opens in October.

Luca Guadagnino may direct Artificial, a drama on the 2023 OpenAI crisis, for Amazon MGM. The film will depict CEO Sam Altman’s firing and reinstatement, with Andrew Garfield likely to play Altman.
