A federal judge temporarily halted the transfer of a transgender inmate to a men’s prison under President Donald Trump’s executive order limiting gender-related accommodations in federal facilities, according to the inmate’s legal counsel.

A federal judge has temporarily blocked an executive order from the Trump administration that would have paused certain federal funding and loans. The administration argues the move is necessary to ensure spending aligns with recent executive actions.

U.S. District Judge John Coughenour said he couldn't recall another "case where the question presented is as clear as this one."
