Carlos Alcaraz has become the latest player to weigh into the growing row over the tennis schedule. The four-time Grand Slam champion put tennis bosses on alert over the packed calendar, saying: “They are going to kill us in some way.” It comes after Jack Draper and Iga Swiatek criticised the “exhausting” professional circuit.

Carlos Alcaraz expressed frustration with the demanding tennis schedule, citing its impact on players' health and motivation. With 50 singles matches in 2024 already under his belt, he highlighted how the tight calendar leads to injuries.

The 21-year-old is currently taking part in the Laver Cup, his 14th tournament of the year. Before arriving in Berlin the Spanish star had already played 50 singles matches in 2024, winning three titles and also collecting a silver medal at the Paris Olympics.
