Nicole Comstock reports from Baldwin Park, where police officers and community members gathered at a candlelight vigil for Officer Samuel Riveros, who was shot and killed when responding to the scene of a shooting last weekend.
Berumen, 22, is facing 5 charges in all, including 2 attempted murder charges involving other police officers.
Slain Baldwin Park Police Officer Samuel Riveros, 35, was an avid Dodgers fan and snowboarder. A second officer was injured.
A large law enforcement presence descended on the residential neighborhood in the area of Filhurst, Palm and Harlan avenues.
