The San Francisco Giants revealed their plan to have Rafael Devers take ground balls at first before starting him there after the Boston Red Sox traded him for his refusal to do so.

Much of the drama surrounding the end of Rafael Devers’ time with the Red Sox stemmed from the club’s decision to have him change positions and the apparent lack of communication that took place in advance.

The San Francisco Giants need to find a permanent position for Rafael Devers, but that will be easier said than done based on the current roster construction.
