Located in Carlsbad, California, just north of San Diego, LEGOLAND California Resort is the ultimate family theme park designed for kids ages 2-12. LEGOLAND California Resort includes over 60 rides, shows, and attractions, plus a water park, SEA LIFE® Aquarium, and 2 LEGO®⁻themed hotels. Opening on March 20, 1999, it was the first Legoland park to open outside of Europe. The park is currently owned by Merlin Entertainments, which took a controlling interest in 2005. The second park in the United States is Legoland Florida, which opened in 2011. A third park, Legoland New York, opened in May 2021.
